Lost Season Finale: Second Watch

Image
After viewing the finale a second time, I have a new appreciation for the close of the Lost series. Going into the finale, like many other viewers I'm sure, I was waiting for a complete resolution to each character's journey on the island. What I wanted even more than this, was an interesting and thorough explaination of the island itself. The rumors of the island being some sort of pergatory intrigued me, and after knowing the end result of the show, the finale was actually a beautiful story of redemtion. The music was a bit flowery, but it was necessary in order to connect the viewer with the emotional aspects of each character's realization that death was not the end. For those of you who felt this was a "cop out" of sorts, I think it would help to look at the show with a new perspective. Although, I do not believe the show was of only Jack's journey in between this life and what comes after, it does help to grasp the beauty of this epic story through his

Lost Series Finale

For those of you reading my perfume blog, I apologize for interrupting that topic for this important new post. The series of Lost came to a close last night with an episode lasting a lengthy two and a half hours. I have followed the show for the past five years, and found myself blown away with the mystery and character development of each and every episode. Prior to yesterday, I could not think of a show in existence that was capable of covering SO much without losing direction or my interest. A true believer in the series, I expected the writers to give me closure. I refused to believe the words of those who thought the creators wrote themselves into a hole. After countless visits to the lost- pedia website, I found that the creators were brilliant masters of design, capable of meshing worlds of science with those of faith and cultural beliefs. Once two hours had passed of the finale, I quickly realized I would not receive the answers I'd been anticipating for five long years.

Flora by Gucci: day 4

Image
Flowery, powdery (a bit), pungent, saucy, agressively fliracious, tantilizing. Another bottle problem, this one opened in my purse. My purse smells nice...well...overly scented, but nice. Only downfall of the perfume is it doesn't last (not just because I spilled the whole thing-scent just doesnt stay on the skin.) Still a good one, I'd rate it around an 8.

Michael Kors, Very Hollywood: day 3

Image
Pleasant, light, subtle, calming, sweet, flirty, versatile. I absolutely adore this perfume. It can be worn anywhere, and it actually lasts. It's subtle enough to wear on an interview, but appealing enough to wear on a nice date. So far, this is my favorite!

YSL: day 2

Image
Sweet, expensive, mild, flowery, mature, professional, fruity. I think this is a perfume I would appreciate more in my 30's. It has a very distinct smell that a co-worker and I joked about as- "a perfect perfume for church." I would wear this on a rare occasion, but not everyday.

BLVGARI: day 1

Image
Fresh, sexy, sultry, soft, yummy, elegant, feminine. Once I figured out how to open this interestingly-off perfume bottle, I was greatly impressed with it. It is definitely one of those smells that's good at first, but grows on you.  Sometimes I find a perfume smells great in the bottle and I put it on only to instantly shake my head. This one might just be my skin enzymes' best pal, but it's also possible I've just gone too long without wearing a quality perfume. Either way, Blvgari would be perfect for a woman going on a date, to a social gathering or even work. While it is an attractive aroma, it is not strong or nostril flaring. I guess it's kinda like "Sex Panther" from Anchorman -only for a woman -and just the way fantana describes it.

Seven Days Seven Scents

Image
For the next seven days, I will be trying one perfume a day from the Sephora Favorite's Collection. I will describe my experience with each scent and I wont screen my opinions. If only there were a scratch and sniff feature on your computer....That will be my "behind the scenes" task. :) Enjoy, and please share your comments/questions/strangeness.
