Writing
I used to write as a form of therapy. Having a creative outlet is a necessary and useful thing for me. Whether it's artistic or rudimentary, it allows me to express myself and use my creative talents to produce a piece of work. When I'm done, I have a tangible creation that I can view and absorb. It's everlasting and beautiful. Recently, I read through my work in a creative writing class during college. Some of the text was so insightful and somewhat whimsical that I forgot it was my own writing. For a long time now, I haven't written a thing. My motivation somehow evaporated. A key to good writing involves thinking about the reader and constantly evaluating the words you string together from the perspective of this ambiguous other.
